Overview
What is BURGER KING® App and how do I download it?

The BURGER KING® App can save time and money. Explore our menu and find the nearest BK® Restaurant 24/7. Plus, at participating restaurants, you can unlock coupons, and use your Rewards BK® Crowns to get free BK®. The BURGER KING® App is available for Apple mobile iOS devices via the App Store and for Android mobile devices on Google Play.

iOS
Open App store:
1. Tap the App Store icon on your home screen
2. The first time you tap here, you may be prompted to sign in with your Apple ID and payment information
3. In the search tab search for ‘Burger King New Zealand’
4. Click download – the App is free to download.

Android
Open the Play Store:
1. Tap the Apps icon in the bottom-right of the home screen
2. Swipe left and right until you find the Play Store icon. Tap it
3. The first time you tap here, you may be prompted to sign in with your Google credentials and payment information
4. In the search tab search for ‘Burger King New Zealand’
5. Click download – the App is free to download.

Is the BURGER KING® App free to download?
Yes – the BURGER KING® App is free to download for iOS and Android mobile devices.
How do I sign in to the BURGER KING® App?
To sign in to the BURGER KING® App you can either set up an account with an email address or sign in via your Facebook account.
Why should I enable Location Services for this app?

It’s the easiest way to find your nearest BK® restaurant. It helps us offer a better customer experience with coupons, and is required to participate in the BURGER KING® Rewards program.

With Android mobile devices, WIFI location services must also be enabled.

My location services are enabled, but my App is still not working?
If you start the app with the location services off, and then activate them whilst in the App, it may take some time (seconds) for the App to start the Location Services. In the event the Location Services are still not working, please exit the App, turn your phone off, turn it back on, activate Location Services and then enter the App.
What is the App ‘download deal’, and how do I get it?

If you download the App, sign up for ‘BK News’ and verify your email address, you will be entitled to 350 bonus free BK® Crowns in your BK Rewards account, when you spend $5.00.

Please ensure you check your JUNK FOLDER for the verification email, and mark BURGER KING® New Zealand as a safe sender so you continue to receive email communications from BURGER KING®.

Please note that if you sign in via FACEBOOK, you are not required to verify your email address – you will automatically get 350 bonus BK Crowns added to your account when you spend $5.00.

Why are some features available in one store, but not another?
The BURGER KING® App features are available at participating restaurants. To ensure you’re among the first to know when new features are available in your area, be sure to subscribe to emails during registration or on the Account Settings page.
Will I still be able to use the BURGER KING® App if I am not connected to the internet?
Even though you are offline, the information you last viewed is retained. The BURGER KING® App will not be refreshed with any changes until you are connected to an internet connection. BURGER KING® offers Flaming Fast FREE Wifi at participating restaurants.
What does it mean if my session has expired?
If you are logged into the App, and have not used the App in 25 minutes, then for security purposes you will be automatically logged out. You can simply log back into the App via the drop down navigation bar.
What does the notification bubble in my App mean?
The notification number denotes the number of new coupons available since you last logged in.
What does ‘we’ve hit a speed bump’ mean?
If the App loses connection with an internet source it can cause the App to stop working. Please exit the App then go back into it to restart your App experience.
Coupons
Why can’t I find coupons?
If you’re close to a participating BK® restaurant, available coupons will be visible through the app.
Where can I use coupons from the app?
To find a participating BK® restaurant that accepts coupons from the app, use the “Find Your BK®” feature of this app.
How will I know when a new coupon is available?
We’ll do our best to notify you of new coupons in your account, but be sure to check the app frequently. To reduce the chances of missing a great offer, be sure to subscribe to our promotional emails from your account profile page.
How do I redeem a coupon?
It’s simple. Tap the coupon you want to redeem. Follow the prompts and show the redemption code to the cashier. Note: Once you choose to use a coupon, it will be removed from the app after it is redeemed, or after 15 minutes has elapsed—so be sure not to click redeem until you’re ready to use it.
How many times can I redeem a coupon?
Each coupon can be redeemed once only, and only one coupon can be redeemed per order.
Why can’t I redeem a coupon?
In order to redeem a coupon, you must be within close distance to a participating BK® restaurant. However, you can view coupons in your BURGER KING® App from any location.
How do I cancel redeeming a coupon?
If you change your mind and want to cancel your coupon you can. To do so, when in App click the ‘X’ in the right hand corner and then click the cancel button.
BURGER KING® Rewards
What is BURGER KING® Rewards?
BURGER KING® Rewards is our Loyalty Program. At participating restaurants, you’ll earn 7 BK® Crowns for every one dollar ($1.00) spent that can be redeemed for free food and beverages. To find participating BURGER KING® restaurants, search the “Find Your BK®” page on this app.
How does BURGER KING® Rewards work?
Once you enroll in BURGER KING® Rewards you will earn rewards based on the number of BK® Crowns that you earn with each purchase. You may then redeem BK® Crowns for BK® products. You can review all program details, terms and conditions at www.burgerking.co.nz/apprewards
What rewards can I get?

Once you enroll in BURGER KING® Rewards you are one step closer to getting free BK® . Currently, there are three levels of rewards in the Program, which are determined by the number of BK® Crowns that you earn. If you earn 210 BK® Crowns, you will receive one item from the Bronze menu. If you earn 140 additional BK® Crowns (350 total), you will receive one item from the Silver menu. If you earn 140 additional BK® Crowns (490 total), you will receive one item from the Gold menu.

*Only one reward can be redeemed per transaction, and BK® Crowns are valid from 12 months from the first day of purchase.

How do I redeem Burger King® rewards?
It’s simple. Tap the level of rewards you want to redeem. Follow the prompts and show the redemption code to the cashier. Note: Once you choose to redeem a reward, it will be removed from the app after it is redeemed, or after 15 minutes has elapsed—so be sure not to click redeem until you’re ready to use it.
How do I check my Burger King® rewards BK® Crowns balance?
It’s simple. Tap the Rewards section in the app. It will then display your BK® Crowns balance.
How do I cancel redeeming a BK® Reward?
If you change your mind and want to cancel your loyalty reward you can. To do so, when in App click the ‘X’ in the right hand corner and and then click the left hand side navigation bar and click the cancel button. It is your responsibility to cancel the coupon before the countdown timer expires, otherwise you will lose the coupon.
How many times can I redeem a BK® Reward?
One loyalty reward can be redeemed per order.
Device
What if I have multiple devices?
The app is designed to be active on only one device at a time. Remember, the last device you logged into is your active device. To switch active devices, log out of the current device and log in to the device you’d like to use.
Are there plans to add more features to the BURGER KING® app?
We will endeavor to make enhancements to the BURGER KING® App.
Technical support
What do I do if my App is not functioning properly?

Please complete step 1 before trying steps 2, 3 and 4.

1. Force the closure of the App:
iOS:
- Press the Home button two times quickly. You will see small previews of recently used apps
- Swipe left to find the app you want to close
- Swipe up on the app's preview to close it.
ANDROID:
- Open the Settings app.
- Choose Apps.
- Touch the Running tab to view only active or running apps.
- Choose the BK App
- Touch the Stop or Force Stop button.

2. Exit App and turn phone off, wait 20 seconds, turn phone back on

3. Uninstall App, then reinstall (via FREE WIFI)

4. If problems still occur please contact Burger King via the below process
